Michel Disdier Testing with Mike Harmon Racing



French race car driver Michel Disdier whose successes include moto-cross championship at age 14, Volant Elf Winfield finalist at Magny-Cours, Formula B French Championship, Formula France Championship and Ferrari Challenge Championship has now set his goal to become the first Frenchman to compete in NASCAR in over thirty years.

Last year after a successful test with Mario Gosselin at Michigan International Speedway he raced in Montreal in the Canadian Tire Series event.

Like Montoya, Villeneuve and Franchetti Disdier wishes to add his name to the roster of former open wheel racers who have made the move to NASCAR. His plan is to begin in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and later to Craftsman Trucks.

Disdier will test with Mike Harmon Racing during the Daytona tests and plans to race with the team at Daytona on February 9th in the ARCA race with subsequent races not yet scheduled.

French media attention as well as amazing fan support for Michel has shown that the public is keen to see this charismatic Frenchman achieve his dream of racing in NASCAR.
